Pesthouse Service Warranty

By proceeding with your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with the terms of this Warranty. Failure to meet the conditions outlined below may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment and may void the Warranty.

1. General Terms and Conditions

1.1 Service Coverage

This Warranty applies to the pest control and/or air conditioning service provided by Pesthouse Pty Ltd (“Pesthouse”) / Blessman Corporation Pty Ltd to the service address specified in the booking confirmation.

The Warranty period begins on the date the service is completed.

1.2 Nature of Pest Management

Pesthouse provides pest management services, not pest eradication.

Pest activity is influenced by environmental conditions, surrounding properties, pest behaviour, and seasonal factors that are outside of Pesthouse’s control. For this reason, complete elimination of all pests cannot be guaranteed.

Where pest activity returns at levels considered excessive for the pest species treated, Pesthouse may provide a return visit in accordance with this Warranty.

1.3 Client Responsibilities

To maintain the validity of this Warranty, the Client must:

• Follow all post-treatment instructions provided by Pesthouse
• Maintain the premises in a reasonable hygienic condition
• Allow Pesthouse reasonable access to treated areas for warranty inspections or retreatments
• Avoid applying additional pest control products, repellents, or treatments without prior approval from Pesthouse

1.4 Hygiene and Environmental Conditions

The Client must maintain reasonable household hygiene and avoid conditions that may attract pests, including but not limited to:

• exposed or unsealed food
• overflowing or unsealed waste bins
• excessive clutter preventing treatment access
• standing water
• unclean food preparation areas
• pet food left exposed for extended periods

Failure to maintain reasonable hygiene conditions may reduce treatment effectiveness and may void the Warranty.

1.5 Structural and Entry-Point Conditions

The Warranty does not cover pest entry resulting from structural defects or entry points, including but not limited to:

• holes or gaps in walls or roofing
• broken or unsealed vents
• damaged flyscreens or door seals
• unsealed pipe penetrations
• structural openings allowing pest access

Where such entry points are identified, they remain the responsibility of the property owner to rectify.

1.6 Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Warranty excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available to the Client under the Australian Consumer Law.

2. Warranty Coverage by Service Type

2.1 General Pest Treatment

Coverage

12-month warranty for new infestations and excessive activity of standard household pests.

Covered Pests

• Large cockroaches
• Baby cockroaches
• Web-dwelling spiders
• Paper wasps (nests treated during the initial treatment only)
• Carpet beetles
• Fleas and flea larvae
• Silverfish
• Similar crawling pests typically controlled by residual surface treatments

Ants are not included in the General Pest warranty.

Solution

Pesthouse will retreat areas of concern within the treated areas of the property where pest activity is considered excessive.

Exclusions

The following are not covered under the General Pest warranty:

• existing infestations present at the time of service
• ants
• German cockroaches
• mites
• bed bugs
• flies, mosquitoes, fruit flies or other flying pests
• pests residing inside untreated personal items such as mattresses, clothing or bedding
• new wasp nests appearing after the initial treatment
• pest activity resulting from structural entry points or hygiene conditions

Void Conditions

The Warranty may be void where:

• hygiene conditions deteriorate significantly after treatment
• excessive washing or mopping of treated surfaces occurs within 7 days of treatment
• repellents or additional pest treatments are applied without Pesthouse approval
• structural entry points allowing pest access are not rectified within 30 days of identification

Service Suitability Requirement

The General Pest Treatment warranty applies only where the General Pest service is considered appropriate for the pest activity present at the property at the time of service.

Where Pesthouse identifies that a Premium Pest Treatment or infestation treatment is required due to the level or type of pest activity, and the Client declines the recommended upgrade, the General Pest warranty will not apply.

In such cases, if pest activity continues, the Client may be required to upgrade to the Premium Pest Treatment or an appropriate infestation treatment program for further service.

2.2 Premium Pest and Infestation Treatment

Coverage

12-month warranty for excessive pest activity of standard household pests and certain infestations where treatment recommendations are followed.

Covered Pests

• Large cockroaches
• Baby cockroaches
• Web-dwelling spiders
• Paper wasps (nests treated during the initial treatment only)
• Carpet beetles
• Fleas and flea larvae
• Silverfish
• German cockroaches

Ant Warranty

Ant activity may be eligible for a 3-month warranty where:

• a minimum of two ant treatments are completed
• both treatments occur within an 8-week period
• treatment recommendations provided by the technician are followed

Failure to complete the recommended treatment schedule may void the ant warranty.

Solution

Pesthouse will retreat affected areas of concern within the treated areas of the property.

Exclusions

The following are not covered:

• mites
• bed bugs
• flies, mosquitoes or fruit flies
• pest activity remaining within untreated personal belongings such as mattresses or clothing
• infestations requiring a treatment plan of three or more treatments where the treatment plan is not followed

Where additional treatments are recommended as part of an infestation treatment plan, each completed treatment carries its own warranty period as advised by the technician.

Rodent Monitoring

Where minor rodent activity is treated as part of a Premium Pest Treatment, a 14-day monitoring period applies.

If rodent activity continues during this monitoring period, Pesthouse will return to adjust bait placement, replenish bait stations, or modify attractants where necessary.

This monitoring period applies only to rodent activity identified and treated during the Premium Pest service.

New rodent infestations occurring after the monitoring period are not covered and may require a separate rodent treatment service.

Void Conditions

The Warranty may be void where:

• the recommended treatment plan is not followed
• hygiene conditions deteriorate after treatment
• excessive washing or mopping of treated areas occurs within 7 days
• repellents or additional pest treatments are used without approval
• structural entry points allowing pest access remain unaddressed

Specialist Treatment Programs

Certain pest infestations may require a specialist treatment program consisting of multiple treatments over a defined period to effectively break the pest lifecycle.

Where Pesthouse recommends a specialist treatment program and the Client declines to proceed with the recommended treatment schedule, the Premium Pest warranty cannot be applied.

Failure to follow the recommended treatment plan or treatment frequency may result in reduced treatment effectiveness and void the warranty coverage.

2.3 End of Lease Treatments

Standard Package

No warranty is provided.

Standard Plus Package

3-month warranty on standard household pests covered under General Pest Treatment.

Premium End of Lease Package

3-month warranty on standard household pests as outlined in Section 2.1.

Rodents are not covered under End of Lease warranties.

2.4 Rodent Service

Coverage

Rodent services include a 14-day monitoring period for existing rodent activity.

During this period Pesthouse may return to:

• adjust bait placement
• replenish bait stations
• modify attractants where required

Rodent monitoring is also included where rodent activity is treated as part of a Premium Pest service, as outlined in Section 2.2.

Solution

If rodent activity persists during the monitoring period, Pesthouse will return to adjust bait placement, replenish bait stations, or modify attractants where appropriate.

Exclusions

The following are not covered:

• new rodent infestations after the monitoring period
• structural entry points or building defects allowing rodent access
• external environmental factors outside Pesthouse’s control

After the monitoring period, additional visits may be arranged for a service fee.

2.5 Air Conditioning Services

Air-conditioning systems are complex mechanical appliances. While cleaning improves hygiene, airflow, and efficiency, Pesthouse cannot guarantee the ongoing performance or mechanical condition of the system.

The warranty outlined below applies only to mould returning within the treated indoor components of the system, subject to the conditions outlined in this section.

The Warranty applies only to the areas treated during the service.

2.5a General / Standard Split System Clean

Coverage

A 6-month warranty applies for the return of visible mould within the treated indoor unit.

Conditions

The warranty applies only where:

• the unit did not present with excessive mould contamination at the time of service that would reasonably require a deeper clean or upgraded service
• the customer follows a recommended 6-monthly cleaning schedule
• the indoor housing and treated components remain accessible

If Pesthouse advises that the system requires a deeper or premium clean due to heavy mould contamination and the upgrade is declined, no warranty will apply to the service.

2.5b Standard Plus Clean

Coverage

A 12-month warranty applies for the return of visible mould within the treated indoor unit.

Conditions

The warranty applies only where:

• the system did not present with excessive mould contamination requiring a Premium Clean at the time of service
• the recommended upgrade was not declined
• treated components remain accessible

If Pesthouse advises that the system requires a Premium Clean due to heavy contamination and the upgrade is declined, the Standard Plus warranty cannot be applied.

2.5c Premium Deep Clean

Coverage

A 12-month warranty applies for the return of visible mould within the treated indoor unit.

Premium cleans are designed to address heavily contaminated systems and involve a deeper level of cleaning and treatment.

If mould returns within the warranty period inside the treated indoor unit, Pesthouse will return to treat the affected components.

2.5d Ducted Air Conditioning System Clean

Coverage

A 12-month warranty applies for the return of visible mould within accessible treated components of the indoor ducted system.

This includes mould returning on components such as:

• return grille
• accessible evaporator coils
• accessible internal housing surfaces
• accessible return air areas treated during the service

If mould returns within the warranty period in the treated accessible components, Pesthouse will return to treat the affected areas.

Conditions

The warranty applies only where:

• the system was able to be fully accessed and treated during the service
• the system did not present with excessive mould contamination requiring specialised remediation beyond the scope of the clean
• filters and return air grilles are regularly maintained and cleaned by the Client

Exclusions

The ducted air-conditioning warranty does not cover:

• mould present inside ductwork that is inaccessible or not treated during the service
• mould within ceiling cavities, insulation, or surrounding building materials
• mould caused by environmental humidity, poor ventilation, or excessive system usage
• mould within external condenser units
• mould in areas that cannot be safely accessed or removed
• Pesthouse is not responsible for mould originating from ceiling cavities, roof spaces, insulation, or surrounding building structures.

Exclusions (All Air Conditioning Services)

The Air Conditioning Warranty does not cover:

• mould or debris accumulation on external condenser units
• inaccessible components or areas that cannot be safely treated
• mould growth resulting from environmental conditions such as humidity, poor ventilation, or excessive system usage
• mould growth occurring in untreated components of the system
• damage caused by pre-existing faults or deterioration of system components

Leak Notification Requirement

If a water leak occurs following a clean, Pesthouse must be notified within 48 hours of the issue being identified.

Where notified within this timeframe, Pesthouse may return to inspect the system, depending on the circumstances.

Leaks may occur for several reasons following a clean, including:

• large amounts of mould or debris flushed from the system temporarily blocking the drain line
• existing blockages becoming dislodged during cleaning
• pre-existing drainage or installation issues becoming visible once the system has been cleaned

Where a leak is found to be caused by a pre-existing drainage issue, installation fault, or mechanical failure, Pesthouse may recommend that the customer engage a licensed air-conditioning technician for mechanical maintenance or repair, which falls outside the scope of cleaning services.

Mechanical Failure Disclaimer

Air-conditioning units are mechanical appliances that may fail due to age, wear, electrical faults, or pre-existing mechanical issues.

Cleaning a system may occasionally reveal faults that were previously hidden by dirt, mould, or debris.

Pesthouse does not provide mechanical servicing or repair, and cannot be held responsible where a system:

• stops operating
• develops electrical faults
• experiences mechanical failure
• fails to restart after cleaning

Customers acknowledge that older or heavily used systems may present unforeseen issues once cleaned, and any required repairs must be carried out by a licensed air-conditioning technician.

Filter Maintenance

The Client must maintain return air filters in a clean condition. Failure to maintain filters may contribute to mould growth and may affect warranty eligibility.

Access & System Condition

Warranty coverage applies only where:

• the indoor housing can be safely removed and reinstalled
• filters, grilles, and internal components can be accessed for cleaning
• the system is structurally sound and able to be serviced

Where access is restricted or components cannot be safely removed, Pesthouse may perform a limited service, in which case warranty coverage may not apply.

Maintenance Recommendation

For optimal hygiene and system performance, Pesthouse recommends that split-system air conditioners be cleaned every 6 months in residential environments and more frequently in high-use or commercial environments.

Failure to maintain recommended servicing intervals may reduce treatment effectiveness and may affect warranty eligibility.

Electronics

Pesthouse takes all reasonable precautions when cleaning air conditioning systems. However, electronic components within air-conditioning units may fail due to age, corrosion, or pre-existing damage once moisture is introduced during cleaning.

Rust/Deterioration

Pesthouse is not responsible for breakage of brittle plastic components, rusted screws, or deteriorated housings encountered during normal disassembly of older systems.

3. Additional Provisions

Service Area Definition

The Warranty applies only to areas that were treated during the service. Untreated areas may require additional service.

Annual Service Recommendation

Regular pest and air-conditioning maintenance is recommended to maintain treatment effectiveness.

Warranty Response Time

Pesthouse aims to respond to valid warranty claims within 5 business days and schedule a return service within a reasonable timeframe where applicable.

Damage or Fault Reporting

If the Client believes that Pesthouse has caused damage to an air-conditioning system during the course of a service, the Client must notify Pesthouse as soon as reasonably possible and provide Pesthouse with the opportunity to inspect the system before any repairs or alterations are undertaken.

Pesthouse must be given reasonable access to inspect the system and assess the alleged issue.

If the Client arranges for another technician, contractor, or repair specialist to inspect, modify, dismantle, or repair the system before Pesthouse has had the opportunity to inspect the equipment, Pesthouse may be unable to properly assess the cause of the issue and any claim relating to the alleged damage may be declined.

Where another technician has carried out repairs or modifications prior to Pesthouse inspection, Pesthouse will not be responsible for determining the cause of the fault or reimbursing repair costs.

Liability Limitation

Pesthouse’s liability under this Warranty is limited to performing a return treatment where applicable. Pesthouse is not responsible for damage caused prior to treatment or for consequential losses.

4. Warranty Claim Process

To request a warranty service:

  1. The Client must notify Pesthouse as soon as pest activity is observed and within the warranty period.

  2. Pesthouse may request photos, videos, or additional information to verify the claim.

  3. Where the claim meets the warranty conditions, Pesthouse will arrange a return visit at no cost.

  4. Where pest activity falls outside the scope of this Warranty, Pesthouse may provide a quotation for further service.

5. Miscellaneous

• This Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the service address listed on the booking confirmation.
• If any provision of this Warranty is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• This document outlines the warranty conditions relating to the service but does not limit rights under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Force Majeure / Natural Events

Pesthouse is not responsible for treatment failure, pest reinfestation, or loss resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• cyclones
• floods
• storms
• extreme weather conditions
• bushfires
• earthquakes
• other natural disasters

Where such events materially affect the treated area or environment, warranty outcomes may be impacted.

Final Acknowledgement

By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined in this Pesthouse Service Warranty.
